Video Trimmer & Compressor illustration

Video Trimmer & Compressor

Cuts a video to a time range, optionally removes the audio track and recompresses to a chosen quality level, all with ffmpeg.wasm in your browser. Fast lossless trimming is used when no re-encode is needed.

Runs 100% in your browser — your files never leave your device.

Notes

  • The conversion engine (ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly, about 25 MB) is downloaded from a CDN on first use, then cached by your browser. H.264, VP8/VP9, MPEG-4 and most common codecs are supported; AV1 is not.
  • Lossless trim cuts at the nearest keyframe, so the actual start can shift by up to a couple of seconds; re-encode mode is frame-exact but slower.
  • Everything runs locally in your browser; your files are never uploaded to any server.
