Who runs this site and how you accept these terms

ABC Tools is operated by BTCL Software Bt., whose registered seat is 2890 Tópart utca 5-7. lph. 1/2, Tata, Hungary. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean BTCL Software Bt. "You" means anyone who visits or uses the site.

By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. There are no accounts, no registration and no login, so using a tool is how you accept these terms.

The service

ABC Tools is a free, ad-free set of online calculators and utilities. This includes tools for finance, health, math, statistics, science, engineering, time and date, gambling odds, images, audio and video, text, data files, developer tasks, SEO, randomness and cryptography.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that the site will always be online, that it will be free of errors, or that any result is accurate or fit for a particular purpose. We may change, suspend or stop any tool at any time without notice.

Some tools run on our server: the numbers you type are sent to us, computed in memory and returned right away, without being stored. Other tools run entirely in your browser, so your files, text, passwords and keys never leave your device. Either way, you use the results at your own risk.

No professional advice

Every result the site produces is an educational estimate. It is not professional advice of any kind. In particular, nothing on the site is financial, investment, medical, health, legal, tax, engineering or betting advice.

Before you act on any result, consult a qualified professional who knows your situation. Do not treat a calculator output as a decision.

Gambling tools explain the underlying mathematics of odds and probabilities. They are not encouragement to gamble and give no betting advice. They are meant for adults only: you must be at least 18, or the legal age for such activities where you live, whichever is higher.

Acceptable use

You may use the tools for your own purposes, private or commercial. In return, you agree not to misuse the site. You must not:

• attack, overload or try to break the site or its server;
• scrape or automate requests at a volume that disrupts the service for others;
• use the site for anything unlawful, or to help anyone else do so;
• try to gain unauthorized access to any part of the system.

We may block or rate-limit traffic that we reasonably believe is abusive, without notice. This helps keep the site available and free for everyone.

Intellectual property

The site's content, design and code belong to the operator or its licensors and are protected by law. You may not copy, resell or redistribute the site itself or its code, except as normal use of the tools allows.

The results of your calculations belong to you. We claim no rights over the numbers you type or the outputs the tools return to you.

Embedding charts

The Data Visualizer lets you publish a finished chart image and embed it on other websites through an iframe. This publish-and-embed service is free, including on commercial sites, on one condition.

You must not remove, hide or modify the attribution by cropping, styling, scripting, overlaying or any other means. Doing so is a violation of these terms and ends your right to use the embed.

Please also note:

• A chart is uploaded only when you click the publish button, and only the rendered chart image is uploaded.
• A published chart is public to anyone who has its link. Treat it as public from the moment you publish it.
• Do not publish charts that contain personal, confidential or sensitive data.
• We may remove any published chart, and we may change or stop the embed service, at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or your reliance on any result, including lost profits, lost data or indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law. If you are a consumer, your mandatory consumer rights stay untouched, including rights you have under the law of the country where you live.

Links and third-party resources

To display pages, your browser fetches two fonts from Google's font servers, and guide pages fetch the KaTeX and Chart.js libraries from the jsDelivr content delivery network. When your browser requests these files, it sends your IP address to those providers, and their own policies apply to that request. These services are outside our control, and we are not responsible for them. For more on this, see the Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Hungary. This does not remove any mandatory consumer protection you have under the law of the country where you live.
