Volleyball Match Probability Calculator

Builds the exact Markov chain of rally-scoring volleyball from one number per team — the probability of winning a rally on its own serve — and computes set odds, match odds and the full set score distribution. Handles indoor (best-of-5, sets to 25, deciding set to 15) and beach (best-of-3, sets to 21, decider to 15), including the winner-serves-next rotation and the win-by-2 finish.

Momentum mode simulates 20,000 full matches point by point — expect the result to take a few seconds.
0.03
How much winning a point boosts the winner’s chance on the next one. 0 behaves like independent points; 0.03 is a moderate, realistic level; 0.1 produces heavy streaks.

Notes

  • Serving is a disadvantage in volleyball: even strong teams win well under half their service rallies at high level (sideout rates of 60-70% are common), so values below 50% are normal.
  • The model averages over the opening coin toss and gives the deciding set a fresh toss, exactly like the real rules.
  • Educational estimate for sport and training purposes, not professional coaching or medical advice.
