Tennis Match Probability Calculator

Builds the full Markov chain of tennis from one number per player — the probability of winning a point on serve — and computes hold probability, tiebreak, set and match odds for best-of-3 or best-of-5. Shows how tiny point edges snowball: 52% of serve points against 50% is already a solid favorite.

Momentum mode simulates 20,000 full matches point by point — expect the result to take a few seconds.
0.03
How much winning a point boosts the winner’s chance on the next one. 0 behaves like independent points; 0.03 is a moderate, realistic level; 0.1 produces heavy streaks.

Notes

  • Independent-points mode assumes every point on a player’s serve is won with the same probability — no pressure points, fatigue or momentum.
  • Momentum mode lets each won point raise the winner’s next-point chance (the boost fades quickly). Streaks make upsets likelier, so the favorite’s match probability drops toward 50% as strength grows.
  • ATP tour average is roughly 64% of points won on serve; WTA roughly 57%.
