pH Calculator illustration

pH Calculator

Computes pH, pOH, [H⁺] and [OH⁻] for strong acids and bases, weak acids and bases (from Ka or Kb), or from a known pH.

Acetic acid Ka ≈ 1.8×10⁻⁵.
Ammonia Kb ≈ 1.8×10⁻⁵.

Notes

  • pH = −log₁₀[H⁺]; at 25 °C pH + pOH = 14.
  • The weak-acid result solves x²/(C−x) = Ka exactly, so it stays correct even when the usual C−x ≈ C shortcut fails.
