Triathlon Time Calculator illustration

Triathlon Time Calculator

Adds up all five parts of a triathlon — swim, T1, bike, T2, run — for sprint, Olympic, 70.3 and full distances or any custom course, from your planned swim pace per 100 m, average bike speed and run pace. Shows each leg’s share of the total so you can see where time is really won.

Notes

  • Open-water swim paces are usually 5 – 10 s/100 m slower than pool paces; running off the bike costs 10 – 20 s/km at first.
  • Transitions at big races involve long runs through the change area; check the venue before assuming 2 minutes.
  • Educational estimate for sport and training purposes, not professional coaching or medical advice.
