Sprint Wind & Altitude Adjuster illustration

Sprint Wind & Altitude Adjuster

Adjusts sprint times to still-air, sea-level equivalents using Mureika’s drag-based approximation: a +2.0 m/s tailwind is worth roughly 0.10 s over 100 m, and every 1000 m of altitude about 0.03 s. Compare marks set in different conditions on an equal footing.

Notes

  • Records only count with wind of +2.0 m/s or less; altitude assistance is noted (the "A" flag above 1000 m) but never invalidates a record.
  • The 200 m correction is approximate because wind helps only on part of the bend.
