Deck Odds Calculator (TCG)

The probability engine every deck builder needs. Describe your deck as groups of cards — 60 cards with 24 lands and a 4-of combo piece, say — and get exact hypergeometric answers: the chance your opening hand has at least one combo piece, exactly two lands, or both at once. Curves show how the odds grow turn by turn as you draw, and the multi-group calculator handles the questions single-card formulas can’t — "piece A AND piece B by turn 4" — via exact multivariate math checked against a Monte Carlo simulator that deals thousands of sample hands in front of you. Presets cover Magic (60/7), Commander (99/7), Hearthstone (30/3–4), Yu-Gi-Oh (40/5) and Pokémon (60/7), and a mulligan mode shows how a London mulligan bends the numbers.

Notes

  • The core formula is the hypergeometric distribution — drawing without replacement — which is why "4-of in 60, chance in opening 7" is 39.9%, not the 46.7% the naive 4/60 × 7 suggests.
  • Multi-requirement odds ("A and B by turn N") use the multivariate hypergeometric computed exactly by convolution, so overlapping requirements are handled correctly.
  • The Monte Carlo dealer is there for intuition and verification: watch dealt hands stream past and see the empirical rate converge on the exact number.
  • Runs 100% in your browser — your words and puzzles never leave your device.
