Morse Code Trainer

The Koch method teaches Morse the way operators actually copy it: characters play at full speed (15–25 WPM) from the very first lesson, starting with just two letters and adding one more each time you reach 90% accuracy. Missed letters are drilled more often until they catch up. Pick the tone pitch, add light background noise, optionally hear each character spoken after the Morse (eyes-closed practice), and insert extra silence between words only. Practice mode drills 20 characters; Storm mode is 60 seconds with combo bonuses. Download the last session as a WAV when you finish.

Notes

  • Koch order (K, M, R, S, U, A, …) starts with maximally distinct sounds; learning at full character speed avoids the "counting dits" plateau that slow-speed methods hit.
  • Word gap adds silence every N characters without slowing the dits and dahs inside a character — character speed stays fixed.
  • Audio uses your browser's WebAudio — use headphones and set a comfortable volume before starting.
