Cryptographic Key Generator illustration

Cryptographic Key Generator

Generates cryptographically secure random values with crypto.getRandomValues: symmetric keys (128/256-bit), IVs and nonces, salts, and URL-safe API tokens. Output in hex, Base64, Base64url or a raw byte array, with the exact bit-length shown.

Runs 100% in your browser — keys and data never leave your device.

Notes

  • crypto.getRandomValues is a CSPRNG suitable for keys and tokens; Math.random is not and must never be used for anything security-sensitive.
  • A 256-bit random key has 256 bits of entropy — far beyond anything brute-force can reach. Bigger is not more secure past the algorithm's key size.
  • Runs 100% in your browser — keys and data never leave your device.
